Project Status
Proposed Project in Planning and Consultation Stage
The proposed project is in the planning stage and is currently undertaking consultation and studies to inform the development of a Scoping Report.
A Scoping Report is the first stage in the NSW Government’s planning process. It is the basis of which the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) will use to assess the level of environmental and social impact assessments required to adequately assess the project.
This involves:
- Design Engineering
- Monitoring
- Environmental studies
- Hydrological studies
- Geotechnical investigations
- Transmission line investigations
- Consultation with stakeholders including Tamworth Regional Council, Water NSW, neighbours and community members
Scoping Report to Be Posted on NSW Major Projects Portal
Once the Scoping Report has been lodged it will be publicly available on the NSW Government’s Major Projects portal. This portal allows stakeholders to stay informed by receiving email alerts about the progress of applications.
